    Hi

I need to make a firewall for some spec. network adapter, and what to add a network adapter, but have problems to get it to work, and think that my network adapter is not create correcty.

Here to find "Adapter Name" and "Adapter Identification"

Is Adapter name the I can see in network connection, see picture 3, in my eks. Testnet1 ?

and is the Adapter Identification the device id, on the network adapter, which I have found in devviewer.exe (see picture 2), in my eks. PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_100F&SUBSYS_075015AD&REV_01\4&3AD87E0A&0&0088 ?

    Thanks for the reply.

We already read that, but it dosen't seems to work.

We filled the feelds like on the picture, to try to block all on the network adapter to see if it works, but it dosen't.

Could you please try to guide us or test it for yourself too see if it works for you.

    Open SEPM

    Policies

slect the drop down arrow from the Policy Components

    Select Add Network adapter

Select Add NW adpater ( at the bottom)

r ( This is what I have selected)

Any AdapteFill in the details click on Ok

Once you have done that you should see that under the list

I have just tried it and its working able to see that in the fw rules also

In adapter identification, you have filled in the device id. But you have to use the adapter description you get with the ipconfig /all command, as described in the article Pete has posted.
