  • 1.  How to automatically add "quarantined" files to the exceptions

    Posted Dec 30, 2013 11:25 AM

When I go here, I see 3 in quarantined, but I want to add them to the exceptions, I know I can copy and paste the path, but is there another way of telling SEPM that the files it quarantined are safe?

      Virus and Risks Activity Summary

Last hour Viruses Spyware and Risks
     Cleaned / Blocked 1 0
     Deleted 0 0
     Quarantined 0 3

I guess what I want to do is go to the file(s) and highlight or click and have an option to say "add to exception list"

That specific option isn't there but when you restore from the quarantine you can add as an exception.

Just to note, this can only be done from the client, not the SEPM.

You can view what was quarantined and add the exception from the SEPM but than you need to go to the client and take out of quanratine.

    Idea time...

I did manually put in the path, but it would be nice just to say, hey, you're safe, take your base. :-)

I have so many good ideas up there, but no replies to them, maybe my ideas are not as good as I think they are? Is that possible? I feel like I can list an idea saying that Symantec should create a program that will automatically walk the dog in the morning, I'd probably get the same IF NOT MORE Feedback pertaining to it. HAPPY NEW YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
