How to avoid Live Update after a fresh installtion (Live update file size is a headache)
Updated: 21 May 2010 | 2 comments
Hi Everyone,
Whenever I do SEP installtion I'll have to run the Live update and need to download nearly 80MB updates from the Symantec web site. Sicne SEP MR2 version got the latest updates only upto March 13th. So is there a way to avoid this lenthy download a client side? Like download it from the office and then apply it to the fresh installtion and avoid waiting long time looking forward the SEPM to get update?
Any advice on this matter is highly appreciated.

Hi Mordac,
Thanks for the repl. Unfortuantely it only covers about the SEP client package creation with the latest def intergration. I raised this question few months abck and we managed to post it on the forum.
But my main question is how to do the update to the SEPM serer itself. One person from Symantec advise me to apply the *.jdb file to the SEPM folder but I really forgot the folder where I've to apply it.
