How can I confirm if backup is being taken with VCB or Vstorage ?

This issue has been solved. See solution.

Master Server : Netbackup 7.0.1

Windows Backup host : Netbackup 7.0.1

2 x Virtual centers (2.5 and 4.0)

ESX version 4.1, 4.0 and 3.5 U1

I am planning to upgrade to 7.5 and know that although the master server can be upgraded to 7.5 and still support VCB, but the backup host/media server does not support VCB with version 7.5. For this reason we will need to restructure the backup policies and split our ESX 3.5 U1 backups and ESX 4.x between two seperete backup host/Media server.

Ignoring the ESX version for now ....... HOW CAN I PROVE WHICH BACKUPS ARE ACTUALLY USING VCB ON THE NETBACKUP END ?

The reason I say ignore the version is because I picked out a 3.5 U1 VM and was expecting to see the Snapshot Mount point specified within the policy but it wasn't. Im not sure if this is essential but am hoping there is some kind of a log or other way of proving its VCB.

Hope you can help.

Nick

Please check "snapshot mount point" in Options for policies in which "Perform off-host backup" is enabled and "Use" is set as "VMware backup host".
If "snapshot mount point" is defiend, it must be VCB.
