  • 1.  How can I find the windows internet explorer 9 in windows 7 professional

    Posted Jun 26, 2013 11:17 AM

I try to run the report find out who has what kind of IE, I can find the all the windows XP machine in their add and remove program with "Windows Internet Explorer 7" and "Windows internet Explorer 8".

I can find those info in the inv_addandremoveprogram table.

but I look at the windows 7 professional machine, they don't show in program and feature, but in there if I click Uninstall an update I can find "Windows Internet Explorer 9".

Where I can extract this data from SQL? where is the table name I can extract?

    Thanaks

It seems IE 9 and 10 are not gathered by inventory scans. It may have to do with inv. agent not recognizing the build version. You can create a custom inventory for that (custom dataclass & VBscript), or wait for 7.5 to be released in Q3 2013, tentatively.

I have this same issue please advise what SQL table can be used or how to create the custom dataclass to capture this information.
