How can I import Proactive Threat Protection definitions into SEPM without LiveUpdate?
Hello all
I'm deploying SEP at a customer's site which has an "unusual" requirement. These guy's network is physically isolated from the external world. So no connection to the Internet to fetch content updates.
So far, I've been able to get the virus definitions (.VDB and .JDB) from the public FTP, and manually copy them to the "inbox/content/incoming/" folder in SEPM. The definitions get processed and distributed with no problem.
The problem is with the "Proactive Threat Protection" definitions. The SEP clients complain that they have no definitions for this, so I guessed they are not included with the VDBs and JDBs.
Where can I get the definitions for this? Can I use the same manual method? Or am I forced to use LiveUpdate (somehow)?
Kind regards
Alfredo

Hello Alfredo,
Did you ever receive a response? I have a similar scenario.
Thank you,
Ben
De facto when AV does something, it starts jumping up and down, waving its arms, and shouting...
"Hey! I found a virus! Look at me! I'm soooo goooood!"
