Hello everybody.
First I want to say  maybe i write words with wrong grammer. I am sorry for this.
Our Company buyed SEPM. Now i must to learn and use it. I have 2 qestions. (i am already search them in forum but i couldn't find that's why i am opening new topic. If there are answers my questions in forum please send the link)

1- I have 4 locations. Thats why i create 4 groups for them. I install 3 locations Sep clients with SEPM but last location i install sep client manuel ( i copy setup.exe all computers and install manualy) . Thats why i cannot see computers in any groups :( and i cannot update virus def. and etc. when i use "Find Unmanaged Computers" tool i can find all computers did i install manualy. How can i move these computers in a group? adn how can i update them?

2- I create a GUP server for my another location. How can I be sure another computers go to new GUP for update? Can i see the update folders came from which server in client log file ? (for ex: did the client report like this? " Update succes from abcserver 05.07.2009 18:00 etc)

Hi again.
I read this article but this is not my answer. i mean i cannot see computers in groups. If i can see them i can click with rigth click and move. I can see them only when i start "find unmanaged computers" i give ip range like 10.0.6.1 to 10.0.6.254 and i found 25 conputers. these 25 computers have sep client but not manage,not update :( how can i show these clients to my sepm server :(

I don't think you got the article entirely. I will summarize it quickly. Use SylinkReplacer to replace the Sylink.Xml file on these clients and they will start pointing to the SEPM. You can use any of the managed client sylink.

Those clients are probably installed as "Unmanaged clients". Have you used the setup.exe from the downloaded software CD? If you open a client GUI and then Help and Support (top right) >> Troubleshooting, what does it says next to "SERVER: ", I guess "Offline".

In order to fix it, you can use Sandeep's suggestion which means that you will change the Sylink.xml file (a file that tells the SEP client who his manager is) so it will point to your sepm.
Or export a client package from the SEPM console with the correct policies and settings for the desired group, you should be able of doing that by clicking Admin >> Install Packages >> Export Install Package.

Hello againg.
I try to do soliton. but I cannot apply step 4 (select the clients that you would like to move i n the right-pane)
I cannot select  them because i cannot see my company's clients in Clients. I mean  i have 25 computers work offline and SEPM cannot see them in any groups or clients folder. If i can see them i can select.
What can i do now?

I believe symantec created solition for this kind of problem. My computer count goes more. there are many computers work offline and cannot speak with server. I cannot uninstall and send install packages because computers in another city in Turkey and we have 512 kb Hdsl connection. I think i can say the client " for update go this site and your SEPM is this server 10.0.3.xxx etc." Please help me i realy need help. I cannot do this my boss can fired to me :(

Hi

Just for the troubleshooting manually check one of the remote machine in which group they are? Click the Symantec Icon---help nd support---troubleshoot--check the group and server. if the client exists in default or any other group then with the help of this link u can move them into another group.

Thank You for answer.
I look group and server and i saw "offline".
I want to tell you what i did. we install SEPM and deploy install packaged in our company. we have WAN. and we coulnd't deploy install packaged another location. Because it is too far away. Packaged coulnd't go there. And we did this. We copyed install Packaged in Usb disk and go there. And we install every machine with this install Packaged manualy. Thats why SEPM coulnd't see them either clients cannot see server.
Now i have 50 and more clients have sep but cannot comminicate with SEPM.
I cannot see in any groups thats why i cannot move them another groups and i cannot apply policy them.
What should i do?
uninstall and install again? i guess there is another why,it must be. uninstall and install again not easy :(

I solve this problem with use SylinkDrop.exe i export client policy in SEPM and import the client with SylinkDrop.exe and its solved.
but i have to go all clients and do this.

I think so there is no way do this all computers in one time :)
