    Hi guys,

I hope I'm posting this in the correct forum. Here is the situation. I have this computer that has been given to me as a gift from my company b/c it it outdated and they no longer need it. On this computer I have Symantec Anti-Virus and Firewall. The firewalls version is 7.1.0.98.

I love the computer and Symantec works great on it but I have one small issue. The issue is similar to the one in the link above, I can not view Youtube and images on certain occasions, 90% of the time it is blocked. The reason I think is b/c of the firewall and I tried doing those solutions but they don't work. For example I'll click on Options in the Firewall screen but it tells me I don't have "sufficient privileges". I have no way of disconnecting it either, for example it's not on my list of icons on the bottom right hand side so I can't right click on it and disconnect it.

So is there any way of disconnecting it? I've tried even going under tasks lists under CTRL ALT DEL and undoing it but that didn't seem to work either. If you have any idea how I can temporarily disconnect it please let me know as I do not want to delete the program.

    Thank you

The firewall was configured by your IT department. Without the the needed privileges, the only way to get by this is to uninstall the program. Is it possible for you to have your IT person modify the client to allow for "user control" of the firewall?
