How can i uninstall Symantec Collector Framework manually?
Created: 10 Oct 2008 | Updated: 21 May 2010 | 4 comments
Hi,Eveyone:
i'll upgrade SESA collector to collector SAV events, and i installed SSIM agent at SAV Server. because there's a SESA2.0 Agent at the SAV Server so i've to uninstall sesa agent manually by command-line, but Symantec Collector Framework can't uninstall by ADD/REMOVE of win2K, error message following:
"Error 1722.There is a problem with this Windows Installer package.A program run as part of the setup did not finish as expected.Contact your support personnel or package vendor. "
the win2k installed JRE of 1.3 version from SESA2.0's CD.
Thank you.

Hi,
We can use:
"collector -uninstall" command after changing to the collector folder.
for more information of these options use
collector -h
Thanks,
Sachin
I assume you are talking about the collector called SEMAV 2.1.2 ?
This collector install in 2 fold, first this is a windows installer setup, not java, the nit install the SESA Agent.
You might want to check things like doing a "msiexec -unregister" then "msiexec -register". Try to upgrade msiexec to latest version too
We have a few KBs on the 1722 error not related to the product but help.
