    We have undergone through Audit.

Now we have to tally physical machine count to Antivirus machine count.

How can we check the Physical count of PCs in Antivirus, whether it is having antivirus installed or not?

    Thanks in Advance.

If you run reports in Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM) they can give you information about the managed computers (so with Symantec Endpoint Protection installed). To get the number of machine you can run for example a quick report "computer status -> client inventory" (go to Reports -> Quick Reports select Report type Computer Status and Select a report Client Inventory). It will give you different information about the computers, and you will have as well the number of computers

In order to have the report which will indicate all machines (so with and without antivirus), I think you need to run a software for auditing (SEPM is not made for auditing the machines).

    Hi,

In the console under clients tab you will come to know how many computers are with antivirus. Now question remain how to find out computer without antivirus ?

To find computers without antivirus you can use unmanaged computers & unknown computers search option.

This list may show printer, scanner etc .

By looking into list you will come to know how many computers are without antivirus. But you will have to isolate computers and other network devices.

    Hello,

It's very simple to tally the Antivirus machines.

Ofcourse, if all these machines are managed, they would report to the SEPM, and on the right hand side of Home screen on SEPM, you would see these as below:

Make a Total of these machines with the Virus definitions and these would be the total of the Managed SEP machines with Virus definitions.

    Easy!!!

Incase, if you are trying to take a Log or Report of these, then you can Export the Computer Status Report or Audit Report.

Export the computer status logs (Monitors > Logs > Computer Status) and then rename the exported file into .csv

About the information in the Computer Status reports and log

About the reports you can run

    Hope these Answers your Question!!!!

  • in SylinkReplacer.pdf take into account page 16
  •
  • 6a) Only discover the clients which have the SEP client installed: To be aware of the SEPM clients in the environment and use the list in the further run if desire

In SEPM click reports then under quick reports select Computer Stats as teh Report type, and Client Count by Group for Select a report.  Click create report.  Good and quick way to get a list of everything. Changing the time range can give you which computers have previously connected as well.
