    Posted Jun 04, 2014 05:03 PM

    Hello!

I need to change the location of the default folder c:\windows\temp using the Patch Management Agent on client computers. In the management console I do not see this option, is there any other alternative?

    Best regards.

Thanks for your answers. I refer to the temporary directory using the agent on each client computer to perform installations, c: \ windows \ temp. In that folder altiris agent is creating files with extension tmp and generates high CPU usage.

I want to change your location then add the new directory to the list of exceptions in antivirus

    Best regards.

To change the location of a users or systems temp directory, you need to modify the relevant environment variable on that machine.

SK is correct, the location used for temporary files is set by the package, not by Altiris. Most packages use the Windows %temp% or %tmp% environment variable. Altiris uses the context of the Local System account so you need to change the environment variable for that.
