Hi Folks!

When an user request a software or anything activity into Software Portal, there is a possibility of he receive an e-mail with information about him request.

By default, user will receive an email in english language with him request, but I my case, I need to change the content of this email to Portuguese. (Look Print 1)
 

Performed Tests:

1- Into Altiris folders, more accurately in (***\Altiris\SoftwareManagementSolution\Config) there are many files (Strings) and some folders with the same strings, but this strings are translated. (Look Print 2)

I changed the default Software Portal String file(Altiris.SoftwarePortal.ClassStrings.config) to Software Portal String in Portuguese that was found in PT folder. No success.

2 - I edited the default Software Portal String file (Altiris.SoftwarePortal.ClassStrings.config), translating the sentences in english to portuguese. No success.

*After each change, I stopped the IIS, cleaned the cache and started the IIS service.

Anyone has any idea how to change the language content of Software Portal email notification?

Hi Fernando,

I opened a case (# 04932069) in symantec regarding this request, Symantec reported that the language change not possible, the email itself is hard coded, so there is nothing we can do to change the language.

Luiz is correct.  The option to change the language has been submitted as an enhancement request to Dev and will hopefully be seen on a newer version on the Altiris product.
