This issue has been solved. See solution.

Hi,

I want to change location of Veritas cluster alarms.

How can I change place of raising veritas alarms.

For example if cluster alarms are coming to nodeA. I want it to be reflected at nodeB.

SKMangal

Hi,

can you please clarify what exactly you mean?

Cluster alerts are logged to the engine_A.log (/var/VRTSvcs/log/engine_A.log) on both nodes (if a resource fails for example, unless a node is down or cluster communication is interrupted).

Some of the alerts are also logged into the syslogs, but this would indeed be only on the node on which the fault was detected.

Other alarms are sent by the cluster notifier either via email or snmp to remote nodes/recipients.

Ther it depends on which node the notifier is running on.

I hope the above helps, otherwise please clarify and give a more precise example.

regards,
Dan

Hello,

Any event/alarm/warning happening in cluster will be logged in engine_A.log for all the nodes in that cluster (unless any node is down or out of cluster) ..

engine_A.log is coded name in the cluster so any cluster related log will go in engine_A.log along with messages file.

Hope this helps
