  • 1.  How to change the multicast address in a Distribute Disk image taks?

I've been struggling to change the IP address used in a multicast task.So far the configuration string used is this:

    "-CLONE,MODE=RESTORE,SRC=%IMAGE_FILENAME%,DST=1 -sure -batch -mp -session=54d9d492-c810-486c-8f07-07820ee9d8fa -ip:224.2.0.19:403 -clients=5 -threshold:1 -connecttimeout=5"

Even if I change manually the "224.2.0.19", it comes back to this.

I changed the global option for my multicast IP, restarted the server but no success so far.

I need to change it because the network admin has this only address allowed for multicast.

    Thank you.

My understanding is that the option to change the multicast IP address with Ghost is very limited. Hopefully someone can pipe up with the exact limitations, but as far as I know you don't have complete freedom here.

Might be worth taking your network admin down the pub and explaining gently the business need......

I may be barking up the completely wrong tree, but it's not this issue you're having is it? https://support.symantec.com/en_US/article.TECH233745.html

Seems there was/is a bug preventing changes in Additonal Parameters being saved since HF3. Are any changes you're making sticking?

    Good call,

This is supposed to be included in HF 5 when it comes out.   Hope that this is the issue that is being seen.   That the command line keeps reverting back to default rather than an issue of the command line not being adheared to.
