Is there a way to change the temporary file location that SEP 12.1 (or 11.x) uses when doing manual or scheduled scans? We have a problem where the temp files fill up our C: drive and crashes the OS. We are unable to add space to it so would like to have the temp file location be on our D: drive instead. Any ideas? I looked in the SEP Admin console settings and couldn't find much.
Thank you,
LK
Hi
Under the antivirus policy, quarantine settings you can define how many MB that can be stored in the Quarantine folder. Set that to a MB value instead of days. If you are seeing xfer folders rescanning it self, that is a bug that has been fixed in a RU6 MP3, I would advice you to upgrade.

I'm actually looking to change the folder location that SEP temporarily stores the files it scans, not the location where it stores files it quarantines. Any other ideas?
You can change the path for local quarantine under Antivirus policy - Quarantine settings.- local quarantine options.
But i would suggest trying the option above first if massive .tmp detections are you problem.
Read your question again, Sorry.
But I think the temp folder follows the same path. Yet I haven't tried.
The .tmp shouldn't take up so much space, so I still believe you are experiencing the bug where it rescanns xfer or the SRTPS folder.
it should be the temp file configured for user profile
right click my cmputer properties,
environment variables, what do u see? C drive temp?
I'm not sure if this can be changed as it always looks for OS Partition temp
