 Just trying the IS 7.0

After the agent scanned the inventory, when I browse the result in Resource Manager, there are no dataclass result for OS Add Remove Program, which, in IS 6.0, this is a default information.

I know I need to define the software resourc and detect rule to scan the software, but is that now we need to define all software before we can scan them???

What if I just want to have a complete Add/Remove list from my end point? and this is working in IS 6.0, how to do this in IS 7.0?

A little confused about the IIS7 and IIS 6.  Did you mean notification server 6.0 vs. NS7?

There is a task called software discovery that runs at 2am every Sunday and Weednesday by default.  This will help populate the Discovered Software portion of the Software Library in Notification Server 7.  Once that is populated then software inventory will run and will give you better information.

sorry for the confuse, IS6 = inventory solution 6.0, IS7 = inventory solution 7.0...I am too lazy to type the full name :)

I will give that "software discovery" a try. Hope this will make the Add/Remove program some entries...
