Hi All,

I need one small clarification in Symantec DLP communication  between server and client

whether server communicate to client or client communicate to server

How the communication happen

Assuming you are talking about the endpoint agent, the communication is initiated from the client and is a persistent connection pre-12.5.  After 12.5 it is still initiated from the client, but is done at a pre-set polling interval.

Dear Mohan,

client machine and endpoint server having hearbeat rate and sends some request from client machine to server. client machine runing with 2 main services i.e EDPA and WDP and both are complementory to each other. In case any of this service is not runing then other one restart the services. client commuincate with server on port 8000
