Hi
please let me know how to configure LAN free backups on the MSQL or windows clients.
And how do i determine how is the backups configured?

 you have to have the MSQL

 you have to have the MSQL server (this is the one with the database) configured to have a FC card the is then attached to a Tape drive, you will need a Netbackup SSO license.

If these are virtual server OS's then you could use the LAN-free VCB proxy method.

Tip: Get overview/document your NBU environment. Run 'nbsu' and review the output.

Use the Windows servers as SAN Client

For configuring LAN Free backups , you will have to make the windows clients as  SAN Clients and you will have to configure Fiber Transport Media Servers which connect to the SAN Fabric , these are different from the normal Media Servers
