How to configure my SEPM for automatic Update Definition & Client Update from SEPM over the LAN.
How to Verify that the SEPM content is updated.
My SEPM version is 11.0.5002.333

Qamrul

By default the SEPM connect to the Symantec Liveupdate server to get update every 4 hours.
You don't need to configure it for that, it is done automatically. If you want you can just change the interval.

The SEPM get updated and aautomtically update its Client.

Login to SEPM
Click Admin
Click Server --->Local site
Click Show Liveupdate Downloads.

This will give you the information about the content update


The same information is avalible on the Home page , On right hand side.

Click Admin
Click Server --->Local site
Click Show Liveupdate Downloads. show below information:

Whether your SEPM is installed very recently?
If yes it may take time to download it's first updates.Until it finishes that updates it will give this message.
Login to SEPM
Click Admin
Click Server --->Local site
click on download liveupdate content--->download
It will download the updates.Wait until it finishes
Or 
You can manually download jdb file and update SEPM

In IIS manager can you check whter your SEPM website is running ?
In start--->Run type iisreset and click ok..

Go to run and then type luall.exe..wait for it to finish.If it fails. what is the error?

I update definitions for Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager using a JDB file by the following procedure,

1. 
   Copy the .JDB file to the "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager\data\inbox\content\incoming"(The location listed in this line is the default installation location and is presented as an example only).
2. In a period of time from 30 seconds to a minute, the .JDB file will be processed. As the .JDB file is processed, all files and subfolders are removed from the "Incoming" folder.

 
 but When verify content updated on the following location only one text file name “contentinfo”
 
 

Verify that the SEPM content is updated:

1. 
   To verify that the SEPM content has been updated, look in the following folder:
   "C:\Program Files\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection Manger\Inetpub\content\{C60DC234-65F9-4674-94AE-62158EFCA433}"

 

Do a repair of SEPM from add/remove programs..

my SEPM firewall policy not enable &  windows Firewall  has off

Do you done the checking according to that docs?

All checked according to your procedure. but not update My SEPM & Client
i requiest to access my SEPm server by team viewer if you agree
