How to configure that packages created on Child NS do not get replicated to Parent NS

    Hi,

Generally we manage all packages from Parent NS and let them replicate to child NSs. However due to some changes in the organization we want to be able to let part of our organization creating packages on the child NS and manage them only from the Child NS.

It seems like I cannot / do not want to do any changes under the Replication because this would affect all Child NS. Where as I just want the changes to happen on one of our 5 child servers.

What I do see is that on for example policies and filters I can select "Disable Replication" from the right click menu. But I cannot do this on packages. Which ends up that packages are replicated to the Parent NS and this makes the package "read-only" on child NS.

Any ideas how to get around this? Btw. the version we are running is 7.5 SP1 HF3.

    Stefan

I have tested a bit and I have now disabled "Software Resource Summery Relocation" rule which is doing a "relocate up". That seems to do the trick that it does not replicate any packages created on child NS.

Now I have to wait and see if this is causing any issues with other parts.
