This issue has been solved. See solution.

We wanted to configure the backup to Data domain 160 and initiate the replication between another Data domain 160.

Any simple procedure.

You have not shared any info about your NBU config?

Do you have DD OST license?
NBU Enterprise Disk license?

Both DD's added as Advanced disk with backups successful to both DDs?

If so, you can config Storage Lifecycle policies -
backup to DD1 and duplicate to DD2.

Change STUs in backup policies to use SLP(s) as backup destination.

Detailed info about SLP in chapter 14 of NBU Admin Guide 1.

You will need SLP to perform this task if you have DDBOOST enabled.

Sorry. This installation is getting delayed. I will come back once the installation starts.

good day everyone!

what is the recommended bandwidth for data domain replication, for onsite and offsite?

Is this by a WAN or stretched LAN.  If the former WAN replication via SLP is not supported, tested it once on a 200Mbs link and doesn't work.  There are DD support doucments that provide more info

This is the exact setup I am working on. I just purchase to Data domains  with replication. We purchase an install package as well for 1 data domain. My hope is to gather enough data I can setup the second 1. Will update.
