Hi all, the question is easy.

How to create a bootwork for DOS, because when i choose in the menu of PXE configuration utility, the folder where are the file of DOS to create the bootwork, the button "OK" is disabled.
And the window of the wizard say in upper "The specified location does not appear to contain the MS-DOS files, or contains  a version that is not compatible with boot disk creator"

I have RDP 6.9 with SP1 in Win 2003 Server Std
And i have the version of MSDOS 5.2.3790

What are the correct files for this task ???
Im doing wrong ??
The version of MSDOS is not the correct ??

Please, any comments are welcome

Windows 98 dos

Did you go to Bootworks and installed the pre-boot OS there? Also keep in mind that if you want to use DOS, I would use the Windows 98 DOS files or FreeDOS which can be downloaded from the Altiris website. Actually it is an ftp site, go to: ftp://ftp1.altiris.com/Product/Deployment_Server/6.9%20SP2/ and download the BDCgpl firm file, that is the supported FreeDOS version. You can also find the WINPE installer there, which I would prefer to use.

Let us know if this answers your question.

Simple Instructions

Here's some simple instructions to install the DOS preboot files:

1) Within the Console click "Tools" in the menubar, and click "Boot Disk Creator.
2) When Boot Disk Creator launches, there will be a popup asking you what you want to do.  Press Cancel
3) Click "Tools" in the menubar, then "Install Pre-boot Operating Systems"
4) Click "MS-DOS" from the Disk then browse to a Windows 98 CD.
5) Wait until the files are copied then complete the wizard and quit Boot Disk Creator.

You can now create DOS pxe images through PXE config.
