how to delete automatically the quarantined virus? on the clients?

On the clients

Follow these steps

If the clients are Managed , Go to SEPM, Symantec Endpoint Protecion Manager
 

Click on Policies tab

click on Antivirus and AntiSpyware

click on edit

in the quarentine option.. click on cleanup

select when you want to delete those.

There are 2 options to delete

There are 2 options to delete the quarantine files.

Option A

1. Open SEP Client Interface
2. Click View Quarantine
3. Click Purge options
4. Enter the no of days u want to keep the quarantine files
3. Enter the size of the quarantine folder.

Option B

1. Login to SEPM Console
2. Click Policies
3. Select Antivirus & Antispyware Policies
4. Click Quarantine
5. Select Cleanup tab
6. Check the box Enable automatic deleting of quarantine files that could not be repaired
7. Keep the limit to 3 days
