  • 1.  How to display 'missing' clients (10.1)

    Posted Jul 30, 2010 08:00 AM
    Hopefully an easy question, while prepping for upgrade to the latest version it has occurred to me that the System Centre Console only displays machines that have checked in recently. As we have a number of machines that may sit unused for weeks at a time it creates an issue checking that everyone has been upgraded, can anyone please advise how I can find a list of all deployed machines irrespective of check-in? We are running 10.1.6.6000 console.

    Are you trying to upgrade to SEP?

    Here you have to make 2 lists
    1) YOu SSc is configured to delete clients if they are not connected for more than 30 days
    2) Export the list;
    3)Go with the install group by group;
    4) Once installed in SEPM you need to create a computer status report to check howmany clients you have installed so far

    Hmm i'm a bit confused

    I assume the 30 day rule is a default (where can I see that?)?
    Export what list from where?
    3&4 appear to cover the new install, while helpful at this time i'm just interested in what machines are missing.

    Sorry if i'm sounding vague but i'm obviously missing something here.

    Hi

    You may run the Migration and deployment wizard which should give you a list of the clients in the network

    Apart from that you can also get the information from the AD.
