Hi
I started an update to our network but had to cncel as it was killing some slower lines. How do I cancel the download from resuming when client connect with Management server.
Do you man SEP client is donloading updates from SEPM creating network issue?
The only way is to stop SEPM service in server end or stop smc service in client end.
Hi,
Regarding which update you are talking about?
Regular definitions update or upgrade package?
Client update started on client but is very slow. I restarted the server to stop the download but when the server starts it looks as if the clients start there download again. I did remove the package from the groups.
Please remove packages from the groups first.
client upgrades to 12.1
If you are talking about regular definitions update then it will start as soon as SEPM service starts.
If you are talking about upgrade package, yes we can stop it.
I did remove it.
How do I stop the upgrade downloads?
It shold stop downloading packages now. If it is consuming time to update policies in the client, you may have to resart SEPM services once..
So If I understand correctly the procedure is to remove packages from the group and then restart the sep services. After this no upgrades will start again?
restarting the smc might not help, as once smc starts it will communicate to SEPM and then will ask for update/content.
Check this KB it will answer your query.
