When will Microsoft be forcing the use of SHA2 certificates? Is there an exact date Microsoft will no longer allow the use of SHA1 certificates?

1 January 2017 is when Microsoft wants to put an end to SHA1 certificates.

But since Certificate Authorities issue certificates in 1+ year intervals They will put a stop to new SHA1 certificate enrollments by January 1 2016
