In 6.9 I could just go to my task, click on my software bulletin link then add or remove bulletins as needed. How do I do this in 7.1? In my example say I have all the March bulletins in one task but I realized I forgot one after I stepped through the wizard. I don't want to have to turn down my policy and create a new one. Am I just overlooking the option to modify the task?

You can add any update to the policy by clicking on any of the updates in the Software update field. But bulletins are a no go as far as I know. You would need to create a new policy with the bulletin included. Unless you use some workflow or zeroday patch tool magic.

    Hello Brandon,

In addition to SaschaH's comment; ensure the Software Bulletin is staged / downloaded on the Patch Remediation Center; otherwise, the updates for that bulletin will not be listed in the Select Software Updates view.

As you can see here; I clicked on the Software Update link and it displayed the 'Select software updates' window. Input MS12-009; it is staged / downloaded in my environment, so it is listed when searched:

    Insert Software Updates.png

Note: if the Bulletin is not staged / downloaded; this view would be empty when searching that particular bulletin.

The policy needs to make the individual resource association for each update in the database. The process to add the bulletin is not available, and as SaschaH stated; You would need to create a new policy.

Please post any follow up questions or concerns and we will be happy to help.

    Thank you,

    Joshua

Thanks to both of your for your posts. I see the funcationailty previously available in 6.0 by clicking the "Software Bulletin" link is now available by clicking the newly available "Software Update" link. I do have to add them by induvidual updates now, but the fact they can be sorted by the bulletin name makes that easy enough.

Thank again, next time just tell me to move my cursor down 1/4" :)
