  • 1.  How do I generate a GHOST.ENV file for GHOST.EXE?

    Posted Mar 21, 2016 02:49 PM

My institution has a site-wide license for GSS 3.0. Recently, I tried to install it because I wanted to try v12 of the GhostCast server and the GHOST.EXE DOS client.

I was able to install the "Symantec Ghost Standard Tools.msi" which came with the GSS 3.x package, and it unpacks the GhostCast server and the GHOST.EXE client, but, when I try to run GHOST.EXE, it complains that it can't find a valid GHOST.ENV file.

    How do I generate one?

    1. Locate search box at top left of screen

    2. Enter "Ghost.env"

    3. Read through the previous threads and solutions discussed

    4. Report back if you've still not fixed it.
