  • 1.  How do I install the most current version of SEP on Citrix servers running on Windows 2003 O/S

    Posted Jan 15, 2013 02:43 PM

My SEPM is now up to date, I want to install the SEP client on my Citrix servers, all of the exceptions are in place, I tried a remote push, but it did not work.

Can you post the SEP_INST.log? It should show why in there.

Did you receive any errors when pushing from the SEPM or did it show successful?

Does manually exporting the package and installing it on the client works?

During push install does it say "failed" or it gets pushed but does not get installed?

first thing would be to check the windows firewall and if any previous instances of msiexec.exe are running.

Sorry, I jumped the gun on this one. A restart did it.

What version of SEP are you trying to install?

Please have a look at this KB: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH163112 - there are some conditions that need to be met for remote push to work.

Here another article: http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH165133  - applying mostly to higher Os than 2003 but several conditions are shared.
