Easy, check this:

How to convert Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) clients from managed to unmanaged without uninstalling and reinstalling

See this thread:

Make sure to put it in Client mode first. This ensures you have full control over settings once made unmanaged, otherwise if you don't they will be greyed out

What does this mean?

Make sure to put it in Client mode first

I seriously hate the fact that they took away the ability to control the services.

Go to the Client page

Policies tab

Under Location specific policies and settings click on Location specific settings

Next to Client user interface control settings click on Tasks >> Edit Settings

Click the radio button for Client control

This is what you need to do

To prevent the client from switching back to managed, ensure that the sylink.bak file on the SEP client is deleted.

Ok, now since I do not have the ability to stop/start services anymore, how do I drop the sylink on a REMOTE PC?
