  • 1.  How do I reinstall this thing?!

Seems like a pretty straight forward question but here's what I've run into.

I recently took over tech support of a small law office. The guy who maintained their network before me purchased and installed the SEP on the server so we don't have the original software or serial numbers. It's still a valid license but we are installing a new server and need to install the software on the new server. Do I need to contact someone at Symantec? Is there a way to do it without speaking to the worthless tech support at Symantec? Any help would be appreciated!

No you don't need to call support for that! But you need to have CD to install it
since you have license ( not the slf file) but mail from licensing team you can find the serial number in it.
it will be something like this MB9887766
one you get it go to https://fileconnect.symantec.com
    put serial number download it.
follow this document to install the software.

We don't have the email with the original licensing, either. It was done by the other guy. Is there no way to get it from the software? I even tried Belarc and it didn't find anything.

I have no idea what you just said but I think you are saying there is no way to get the serial number from the software or the registry?

I don't think it is possible.Because SEP  not using any license file kind of thing..

Does Symantec Endpoint Protection 11.0 require a license file?
