How do I run Endpoint Protection at startup before anything else loads

I don't know how but I recently got infected with a bunch of trojans and other viruses.  I am in the military and was able to download Symantec Endpoint Protection for free for my laptop.  My computer is running so slow and it takes like a whole day for the scan to complete.  And when it does complete it deletes some of the viruses but a lot says that it can't be deleted because the file is in use.  And the ones that do get deleted seem to come back after I restart my computer.  I tried selecting the option to run at startup but all that does is run the scan after everything has already loaded.  I have used other scans in the past that give you the option to run the scan immediately when windows starts but before everything else has a chance to load.  Does Symantec Endpoint Protection have this option and how do I do it.  And if not can anyone recommend anything to help me use this programs to get rid of the viruses completely.  Thanks in advance.

My best recommendation would be to boot the PC into safe mode and then run the scan to completely eliminate the threats.

I tried that but when I try to run Symantec Endpoint Protection it comes up with a message saying that Symantec Management Client service is not running and when I click yes to run it now an error message pops up saying "Failed to start the Symantec Management Client service.  Error code returned:0x8007043c"  The same thing happens when I go into msconfig and set the startup to diagnostic startup.  I just tried doing another scan and it froze at 239 minutes 49 seconds and it didn't find anything during that scan.  But in previous scans when it got further in it showed a backdoor trojan, a few other trojans that I can't remember, and a downloader.  What else do you think I can try to get rid of these things without having to do a format of my computer?

I just thought of something else that may work but I don't know how to set it up.  Hopefully you can help.  I have another computer running Symantec Endpoint Protection.  Is there a way for me to scan the infected computer over the network from my other computer and if so how would I set that up?  I noticed when installing SEP that it asked if it was going to be managed or unmanaged.  Will I have to reinstall it on the infected computer and choose managed client in order to do that?

When you get the error prompt, Select No instead.

The user interface will open and the software can be configured and used. There will be an alert that says "File system Auto-Protect is malfunctioning."  However, the system can still be scanned via "Scan for threats."

System Restore Setting

Before attempting any repairs, it is always prudent to disable system restore.
Right click on My Computer > Properties > System Restore tab; Check Turn Off, Apply, and confirm that you do want to turn it off.
