  • 1.  How do I turn off RTCI Automation Alerts?

    Posted Nov 25, 2013 10:26 AM

    Since I installed 7.1 SP2 I have been getting

    *****

    RTCI Remote Access Purge policy

    SymantecTM

    Automation Policy Message

Real-Time Console Infrastructure was processed with following results:

    Total Records

    Left Records

    Deleted Records

    0

    0

    0

    *****

I get this daily and I'd just like to disable the email delivery altogether, but it doesn't appear that I can.

From the console menu Manage --> Jobs and Tasks --> System Jobs and Tasks --> Notification Server --> Real Time Console Infrastructure

There are no options for controlling the email here.

Likewise under Manage --> Jobs and Tasks --> System Jobs and Tasks --> Notification Server --> Automation Policy Tasks

There is no option to disable in the "Send Automationj Policy e-mail".

I suppose I can reduce the schedule to weekly or even every 52 weeks, which is better than the current daily. Is there somewhere else controlling the firing of the email? I want to disable this.

    Here is a solution

Open Console -> Manage -> Policies -> expand "PPA" folder -> disable policy.

    Thanks IP

That will do it for now. I can change the purge settings at least. I would still love to be able to disable the notification withpout diabling the purge.

    Hello DanC,

I guess that e-mail notifications are caused by Remote Access Purge Settings automation policy.

Go to Manage -> Automation Policies and try to disable it.

    Perhaps this...

Referencing Igor's or Anton's screenshot, if you click on Edit input parameter under Run job/task you can insert a custom value in the To field.  I just entered blackhole@mydomain.com.  Problem solved.  The cleanup policy still runs, but you don't have to hear about it.
