How Do I uninstall Norton Internet Security 2007/Symantec.

I have Windows XP.

I have removed many components of the Norton Internet Security from Add/Remove programs. I have also removed all the Yahoo internet components which the online security was originally for. This is all due to its expiration. So I am downloading a different security system and when it gets to the final part of the download, it says there are conflicting programs (Norton Internet Security 2007, Virus Scan and Firewall). But when I try to remove the only other applicable program on add/remove (Symantec Live Update), It does not allow it because it says other programs still use it. So I am stumped as to how to remove it and install this new one.

Nonav and/or Cleanwipe

Hi,

jccosgro: You should request for nonav or Cleanwipe, these are being use to remove symantec anti virus if Add/Remove program fails.

These are tried and tested by other users.
By the way, you can get these by calling Norton Customercare/support at
http://www.symantec.com/business/support/assistance_care.jsp

Hope you resolved you un-installation problem soon..
