This interests me as well - I'm not looking to monitor logical disks mounted as folders but I am looking to at least report on utilization (capacity / free space).  Is this possible?

Try the Win32_Volume WMI class.

Capacity & FreeSpace columns.

Where DriveLetter = <empty> and SystemVolume = false.

If you name each mounted volume so it is easily recognisable within Disk Management, you can then also use the Caption, Label or Name columns.
