How does Symantec DLP Identifies a user Manage

Hi Everyone,

After creating a response rule and a role and a DLP usre, where do i indicate who is the manager, is it from AD user account details or can i select who a manager is based on other criterial.

You can do this a number of ways.  You can setup a query to an LDAP repository, or lookup via a CSV file of your HR database, or use a custom lookup script.  It just depends on what is easiest in your environment.

As mentioned above it come from various methods.  One note about it coming from AD is the Manager Value is the full canonical name (DC=,DC=, etc.) so what you can do is store that information as a variable and then lookup against that variable and populate the email address.  Make sense?
