How to exclude critical system servicess from system recovery in Veritas Backup Exec 12.5?

Hello experts,
we want to run system recovery backup. However, all system critical data is stored on c drive, except an application that is running a sysytem critical service but stores the executable files on a shared cluster drive. We don't want to backup other system critical data than those on the c drive and don't see the application's services as sytem state critical.
Is there a way to exclude the files of the shared cluster drive but to still can use the logic of the system recovery option?
