How does one find the licence expiry date?

Open the .slf file in a text editor. It will show inside.

I couldn't find that file on the entire computer. Pl. advise.

Log in to the SEPM

Go to Admin >> Licenses

The expiration date will show here

Have you a Symantec Endpoint Server installed?

If you have a SEPM Server in your Site then login the Console with your Console Admin Access ID.

Go to Admin -> License(There you can find the detail of Expiry)

From Client System you can go the below path

For Window 7 and 8 (SEP.SLF)

C:\ProgramData\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.xxxx.xxxx\Data\Config

For Window XP

C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Application data\Symantec\Symantec Endpoint Protection\12.1.xxxx.xxxx\Data\Config

Login to SEPM and goto Admin=>License there it will show the number of seats and the expiry details

Logon to SEPM under Admin go to License Tab there you can see the details of the license.

By default you will get 30 days trial period
