How to find VPN user on SEPM

I am Getting everyday alert on virus incident for VPN users.
Unable to locate them on WAN.
SEPM 11 mp3 version.
Any ideas????
Wud be glad for ideas apart from SEPM.

its managed clients
So you can search in sepm cosole by host name or ip address

All I have is a VPN ip address..
notifications are configured is such a way that only VPN ip address is sent via notification.
If you look in SEPM, it should show a user name for the SEP client
Do you not have access to the SEPM?
Can you ask the admin to look? Once you get a username than it should be easy as you know who it is

I have searched through SEPM for that particular VPN IP and it did not match any reporting clients.
I have full admin rights to SEPM.
My problem is to find the user or machine with this VPN IP address either using SEPM or any alternate means..and run a scan from SEPM.

It sounds like this client is unmanaged? If it was reporting to the SEPM , you would be able to see some record of it.
Otherwise, you would need to check your VPN concentrator to determine connection information.

Is there any records or logs or anything that can be generated from SEPm
Since it is a managed client, the SEP client should record all the relevant info (user name, IP, hardware specs, SEP version, SEP components installed) for you to search on.
I have many VPN users connected in and all this information is available to me in the SEPM.
But, it sounds like you are not getting this info?

Any Config needs 2b checked or added?
All i Get is an IP address.
