Hi

How to find what are the polices are implemented in Symantec DLP, and what is path wher we can check in DLP.

How to find what are the polices are implemented in Symantec DLP - Comment:26 Dec 2012 : Link

click on the Manage ---> Policy List . This will show up the available policy. Green dot shows that are active and Red dot shows its suspended.

hi,

Check

 

Export:

  1. Log onto the host DLP Admin user interface, select Manage --> Policy List (navigation bar)
  2. Click on the name of the policy to export
  3. Once the policy loads, click the "Export this policy as a template" link (bottom left of policy window)
  4. Save the policy to prefered location (.xml)

hello

 policy template does not contains all information included in DLP policy. So may be your manager may have an account which allow him to see policy in DLP tool. And xml file are not the most readable format to understand what is included/excluded in this policy.

 First step to protect information is to ensure that only people who need to know it have access to it so sending your DLP policy by email is may be not a good way to do.

Please go through the DLP GUI and click on manage tab then Policy list.

All policy will be listed there also ther are active or currently suspended can be seen
