  • 1.  How to format an external encrypted hardisk?

    I had a laptop with windows 7 on it which I fully encrypted its harddisk with Symantic Encryption Desktop,

    I removed the harddisk to external case. Now I would like to format this external harddisk.

    I tried accessing it from another laptop with windows 7 but it won't show as hard disk under Computer.

    However I can see it in Disk Managment.

    But when I try to to intlize it, I get this error: (Data error (cyclic check)

    Hi,

     

    From your screenshot provide, your external disk is not online, make sure you put it to online then you may able to detact it and proceed with format.
