I have notes about knowledge base articles that I have found useful in the past.  One of those KBs is HOWTO5624 "How to host an Altiris Web Report in a Microsoft SharePoint Web Part".  Today I have done several searches and am unable to find the actual KB.  Has it been replaced with a newer KB?  Is this docuemented anywhere else?

That particular article has expired on our KB, but I'll reproduce it here:

    Title
How to host an Altiris Web Report in a Microsoft SharePoint Web Part

    Body
    Question
This article will instruct you on how to host an Altiris Web Report in a Microsoft SharePoint Web Part so that it can be displayed on a SharePoint portal page.  Since most Altiris console pages are URL addressable (meaning each has their own unique URL), it is relatively easy to create executive dashboards in SharePoint that leverage Altiris Web Reports using the SharePoint "Page Viewer Web Part". These directions are based on SharePoint 2003 and assumes you have some familiarity with Microsoft SharePoint services as well as editing privileges for your SharePoint server/portal.

    Answer

    • Part 1
      - Open a browser window and go to the SharePoint page you wish to host a Web Report on
      - Click "Edit Page" (if already in Edit mode, skip step)
      - Select "Modify Shared Page/Add Web Part/Browse"
      - Add a "Page Viewer Web Part" to an appropriate area of the page by selecting a location from the “Add to:” field at the bottom of the dialog and clicking “Add”
      - The Page Viewer Web Part should now appear on your page
      - From inside the Page Viewer Web Part, click the “open the tool pane” link
    • Part 2
      - Open the Altiris console in separate browser window
      - Navigate to the Web Report you wish to display in the SharePoint Web Part and click the “Run this report in a new window” option
      - Go to the newly opened window that contains the report and highlight and copy the URL from the Address field using right-click copy or ctrl+c
    • Part 3
      - Return to the browser displaying your SharePoint page and the Page Viewer Web Part Tool Pane
      - In the Tool Pane, paste the URL into the “Link” field and click the “Apply” button
      - The Web Report should now be displayed in the  Page Viewer Web Part
      - Under the "Appearance" section of the Web Part Tool Pane, adjust the size of the Web  Part as necessary to accommodate the report as well as rename the Web Part to an appropriate Title such as the Web Report name

    Notes:
For best results, be sure to format the report so that if fits in the Web Part correctly to prevent the user from having to scroll unnecessarily
The drill down reports for the Web Report you selected will work, but they will be launched in new windows
