Hi Dudes,

My Backup Exec 2012 is generating job logs in another language. How can I modify them to English?

Thanx!

Hello,

What language is the job log currently generating; does the Backup Exec UI show the same language and what it’s the expected language?

What is the current language of the operating system and was it changed?

Also check the following tech document to modify the language Backup Exec user interface displays-"http://www.symantec.com/docs/TECH23373 ".

Hello,

Currently is generating in brazilian portuguese. I need this jobs-log in english.

I use a Windows Server 2008 R2 set in US region and the current language is english. In the first installation of BE 2012 I choosed portuguese like the language, but now I changed the reg and restarted all the BE services. Now the GUI is in english but the jobs log keep in portuguese (even the new jobs).

Thanx :D

Restart all Backup Exec services, run a new job and see if the job logs are still being generated in portuguese.

If the issue still persists please open a support case with us; you can find the contact information here -"http://www.symantec.com/business/support/index?page=contactsupport&key=15047"

As an additional troubleshooting step; attempt to recreate a Backup Job to see if the job logs will populate in English before contacting support.
