How to install device as non-plug and play?

How do I install my tape devices as non plug and play devices, I had to do this in my 9.1 environment on my SAN.

No need to anymore - you can install Plug and Play driver when the tape devices are on a SAN.
By default BE 10 will always install the Plug and Play drivers if they are available for the tape drive.

As an additional information, you may refer to the technote link given below and install Plug-Play device drives. This technote is related to Backup Exec v9.1 but its applicable to 10.0 as well

Support last year said that I had to install my drivers as non-plug and play because they were in a SAN environment. Has this changed in the new version?

Yes, now you can install Plug and play drivers in SAN environment. Do apply the following hotfix:
