     Hello All,

I have a remote server on which I'd like to install Endpoint Protection but not sure if I will still be able to access the server after reboot ...

Is there anything that should be done prior to reboot ?

    Please advise,
    Thanks
    SB

When we install on servers (via RDP) or on workstations (using VNC), after the brief connection drop, you can simply reconnect.  There shouldn't be any trouble from that standpoint.  Another alternative if you're worried about getting stuck before a reboot is to export an installation package with a reboot built in.  Then you can simply copy the install package to the server, kick off the install, and when the install is finished the server will reboot and come up nice and fresh on its own.

The NTP (Firewall, IPS & App/Dev Control) component is what causes the brief network disconnect. If you are not installing NTP, then you should be fine. IF you are installing NTP, then be sure you have the necessary ports open in the firewall policy to allow PC Anywhere otherwise it could potentially block the connection (depending what your rules are in the firewall).

Test the firewall policies on a test env.if possible before deploying it ot production.
