How to install netbackup agent on a stand alone server?

I am new to Net Backup. I am asked to install net backup agent (6.5.2)on a stand alone server. Please, could you help me?

Are your tried to install netbackup client or server?

For all sorts of installations (client or server, windows or unix), instructions are given in the guide.

You wil lhave to first install client 6.5   -> Instructions found in install guide
Then patch it to 6.5.2 -> Instructions found on the download page

Plz put more information about NBU environment :

master server OS ??
client OS ?? type??

make sure u enter port no. correctly if installation is typical then NBU will take port no. by default else u hav to enter accordingly.

bpcd and bprd port numbers : 13782 and 13720
make sure u hav admin rights in the system.

master is AIX 5.3 and client is Win2003, virtual server.

which NBU version 6.0 or 6.5 ??
i think u can't push client  installation  win to unix $ vice versa in NBU 6.0

Take with You NBU installation CDs. Mount into cdrom and run the launch.exe to install.
If You do not have an installation CDs then download bianries from portal, do not forgot to download patches to patch this client!

1 Take with You NBU installation CDs.
2 Log in as the root user on the CLIENT
3 Mount into cdrom and run the launch.exe to install To go to terminal, click Personal Application Terminal.Type mount /cdrom
4 Change the working directory to the CD-ROM directory
5 .Load and install the software by running the install script. Type the following command:

6 Specify Client Name as <client> and Veritas Server Name
7 Issue the following command to start the NetBackup Backup, Archive, and Restore interface:
/usr/openv/netbackup/bin/jbpSA &
8 go to actions specify machine and policy

After doing all this n creating a policy do a test backup and restore as well.
