  • 1.  how to install SEP 12.1.6 for Ububtu 14

    hi Everyone,

     

    Ive tried to install SEP 12.1.6 for ubuntu 14 client. but failed still looking for java and jce. but i already installed.

    please help, need to install the managed agent for ubuntu 14.

     

    can someone share step by step guide installing from

    a.java 1.5 later

    b. JCE

    c. do i need to create this file and folder  /etc/Symantec.conf and /opt/Symantec

    d. installation of SEP 12.1.6 for ubuntu

    hi pete,

     i always encounter failed during the pre-check test. is there configuration in JAVA and jce installation? os possible can you help me provide a detailed installation for JAVA and JCE, if there is a need to create a file and folder for symantec

    the installation of JCE is also mentioned in the link

     

    You must install the Unlimited Strength Java Cryptography Extension policy files to match your version of Java. This installation requires superuser privileges.
    You can download the installation files under Additional Resources from the following Oracle website:
