How to Know What Latest Version of GSS 2.5 Is?
Ok, I know that you update this version via LiveUpdate and I know how to check for the various products in the Help --> About to see what build version it's reporting but my question is this.
What's the easiest way to confirm that we're running the latest version of GSS 2.5? I find various articles talking about this but none are clear as to what version is the latest.
Is there a list somewhere on Symantec's website that gives this information, so that every time we want to know what the latest version is and compare that to what our products show is accurate?
I found this in an article saying "The latest LiveUpdate for the Ghost Solution Suite 2.5 (version 11.5.1.2266) provides full support for Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 R2."
Well, the title of this article also shows that it's called version 2.5.1, so does it mean that version 2.5 build version 11.5.1.2266 is in fact version 2.5.1?

I would always go by the build version as I would expect 2.5.1 to cover more than one build release. In fact there is a 2269 build that is being made available on request to some users - just look for the threads in this forum with more than 100 postings and you will pick up details of the various issues addressed in recent releases.

Well, that's fine but it doesn't really answer my question in regards to finding where can we confirm what the latest version at any point in time is GSS at? and whether build version 2266 is in fact GSS 2.5.1?

The lastes public release is 12.5.1.2266 AKA build 2266. There isn't a posted latest build page that I am aware of. In the symantec KB system you can find the readme files posted for each build as they come out so with a lot of work you could deduce that the highest readme is the latest build.
As Ed pointed out there is a build 2269 that is available but that isn't public you need to contact symantec to get a copy of that if you are having a specific problem that it resolves.
You can go here to see the latest product relese but this doesn't show their build numbers just the major releases.
