How long will Symantec continue to support SEP 11 antivirus? Any official word on this?

Below link shows EOL dates for all versions of 11.x as well as 12.1

SEP 11 was released six years ago.  Its clock is now winding down. EOSL will occur on 5 January 2015- that is the end of all support for SEP 11.  EOLS starts January 2014.

Definitely migrate to 12.1 sooner rather than later! 

Does this mean no updates for any SEP 11 manager or client after the EOSL?

I understand that there will be one final MP update released for SEP 11. 

New definitions will be available through the January 2015 date.  I expect that they will be discontinued shortly after that.  Please do encourage anyone you know who is still on SEP 11 to make plans to move to SEP 12.1.  There's ample time at the moment- waiting another year to begin to think about a rollout would be leaving it quite late.
