how to make tape drive available for mksysb backup

This issue has been solved. See solution.
I would like to know how will i make my tape drive available for mksysb backup.
The node on which the mksysb to be taken is already client of my NBU server.

you would need to provide more info about your setup and requirement
1) do you want to reserver one tape drive for your DB backup?
Not possible unless the Netbackup client has direct access to the tape drives via SCSI or Fibre Channel. You can't share tape drives via LAN.
If the client does have access to tape drive you can use netbackup tpreq & tpunmount commands

Just stop NetBackup on the host, mount a tape that is not used by NetBackup from library's front panel or management interface, and use the tape drive by mksysb.
